Conducted Workshops on HIV/AIDS Prevention Education in New York
Since November 2002, AWCD, in collaboration with Hetta International Development Center, has been organizing workshops on regular basis on HIV/AIDS prevention Education for African leaders as well as American representatives in New York City. Dr. John Chikwem, a Professor of Immunology and Dean of School of Natural Sciences and Mathematics at the Lincoln University, Philadelphia, delivered lectures on the best practices in HIV/AIDS management. Many African participants, representing their governments and institutions, have attended and participated fully in the workshops. The purpose of the workshop was to update the participants on the HIV pandemic and new practices in HIV/AIDS management.
